MECA + UWA
UWA stands for the University of Western Australia. Located on the banks of the picturesque Swan River in Perth, UWA is the oldest university in Western Australia. It is part of Australia’s Group of 8 leading universities and continually ranks as the number one university in the state. In fact, UWA regularly makes the list for the Top 100 Universities in the World!
UWA’s stunning campus is located just a few kilometres from the Perth CBD, making it easily accessible by public transport.
UWA CELT
UWA CELT is the Centre for English Language Teaching at the University of Western Australia. UWA CELT provides a welcoming environment for students of every English level and delivers our Middle School Immersion English Program.
As a specialist English School, UWA CELT also offers courses including General English and English for Academic Purposes to international university students. UWA CELT also provides academic courses designed to give international students a pathway into the university course of their choice.
UWA CELT has appointed MECA as its sole educational partner for the provision of Cross-Cultural Communication Support to school groups with students under 18 years of age.
UWA CELT and MECA are proud to have helped thousands of young students from Beijing Huijia Private School benefit from our transformational learning programs since 2004.
Customised Programs
Based in Perth, Western Australia, MECA design specific programs for our groups and place our students at local schools. We work closely with leading local Private and Government schools in Perth to deliver customised school programs. We know pursuing positive interests can be one of the most enjoyable and beneficial ways to develop your English, and yourself! With that in mind, we have developed a wide range of programs that include UWA afternoon One-Sport@ program, Camp outdoor education program, UWA ESL plus @ program, UWA afternoon selective lessons, Australian local school program, UWA kids sport holiday program, and Discover more of Australia. Perth also has much to offer with some of the world’s most incredible natural landscapes. You may choose to expand your learning and your mind with a trip to one of Australia’s other major cities, such as Sydney, Melbourne or Canberra. We can help.
